A Green Living Primer
By Glenn Grundberg of Live Green
Green living is a part of the green movement currently sweeping the nation and the world. The focus of this movement is the concept of leaving as small a footprint as you possibly can on the world around you. This means using things that are recyclable, saving energy and using less of it and eating organic foods. Essentially, using less of the Earth’s natural resources. Green living is all about finding a balance between you, our society and the planet. There is a lot of talk going on these days regarding safer and renewable energy sources such as wind, water and solar power instead of using up our fossil fuels. Even the government is going green and seriously looking into new ways to power the country with renewable energy. You will notice many companies who are going green by changing the things they use on a day-to-day basis. Instead of using plastic bags for groceries, they offer re-usable bags made from recycled materials. Corporate America is moving more into the style of living green through packaging with recycled materials. As more and more individuals and companies turn to a green way of doing things, it is becoming easier for anyone to pitch in and help. Our planet does not have an unlimited supply of materials and by being green we are helping to preserve not only our resources, but also the planet as a whole. There are many places online where you can get great information about living a greener lifestyle. Even if you only change one or two things it has an impact on things around you. There are very simple things you can do that won’t cause much of a change to your daily routine but, in the long run, can make a huge difference in the world around you. And here's the best part: If you play your cards right, you can Live Green, Live Strong...and Save a TON of Money doing it- we'll show you how at LGLS! |
